The Pep talk

pep talk in quietness

I guess it’s right about a problematic situation that sometimes inspired you to write better. It’s been almost a year since my last post. I’ve brought here and there doing so many things. I forgot that I’m a blogger, and I have a blog to take care of until last week when I was forced to stay at home because of the Coronavirus outbreak. The good side is I can finish most of my unfinished writing, which is a perfect outcome. But I decided I want to post some pep talk for you all first.

The World Health Organization has announced COVID-19 as a pandemic due to its widespread distribution in various countries, including Indonesia. Something happens on the world stage.

Everyone is talking about it. Many businesses got the effect—especially the tourism industry, which is also our startup business. I have to think creatively enough to cover so many losses following the outcome of this outbreak.

As a traveler who travels for a living. I struggle a lot because of this outbreak. Many plans cancel, yet I can’t give up. This time isn’t for me, but them. Sometimes it feels like news updates are coming every few minutes to break you down—things beyond events beyond our control that we give so much attention.

We can choose how we respond to our circumstances. We can lose sight of the power that we do still have. And perhaps even more critical, even amid those circumstances, we can determine how we respond.

Be Bold Be Strong

In this kind of situation, I believe everyone is doing their best to keep on their feet. To encourage and to be encouraged so we can keep our head up at this moment.

In case none say this, let me tell you a pep talk, “Nobody else can do as good of a job as you to get through what you need to get through. You’re doing so well. Keep being you and breathe. This won’t last forever.”

Gosh

I am a language trainer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. I love traveling, like a lot. I enjoy walking around, language immersion in different places, have a cup of coffee at some unfamiliar coffee shop, embrace the history or art in many different museums. I love coming across people and blending with new culture. I like having conversations with new people, blogging the stories and inspire people.
