When we get tired of being positive

9 May-min

Many people in the world now seem trying hard to be positive. Don’t get me wrong. Me too! Take a slight to my last posts, all talk about positivity. I used to be the kind of person that didn’t get sad or disappointed quickly. People said I was a fighter though I doubt it a lot. People tend to say they learned from me. So I was always trained to be positive no matter what situation I am. Yet, sometimes it is just what it is. It was exhausted me.

Do you ever get tired of being positive?

Every time I’m preparing myself for the worst that might happen. It led me to the bell curve of stress. A little too much to the left, and I was not motivated at all. It sometimes hits the top, and it starts going into fatigue and burnout, which can happen to anyone. Finding balance is not an easy task though it is crucial. I might be stuck and feeling fierce. Exploring further, one often realizes that it does not have anything to do with hopelessness.

Especially at this time, when we got stuck at home while trying to be productive and alive. You probably in the state like you need to earn for a living, but you can’t do anything because you stuck at home. And everybody, including myself, told you to try to be positive. Yes, I have to admit that it is dreadful sometimes.

When we get tired of being positive

It is okay. 100% okay. In fact, I want to say that there is nothing wrong with being negative as long as we understand our negative emotions. I wanted to share how good it has a negative side for awhile.

Negative boosts our ability to be present with reality.

It impacted us to connect in real-time. While being positive is pinning our hopes on a future (which doesn’t exist yet), being negative makes us being present and making space for reality.

Negative emotions are essential lessons

People automatically assume that when they have a painful thought or feeling, they should push it aside, that it’s some weakness. It hinders our ability to learn from our know-how that is stopping us from thriving higher levels of resilience. Our emotions can be measure by our values. When you put the positive spin all the time, you miss a signal about your values. Our emotions are not only the positive side but also the negative side. When we focus on what’s intrinsically treasure to us, happiness becomes a remarkable by-product of that focus.”
