Which one is good between an early bird or a night owl?

an early bird or a night owl?

It was what I’d been struggling for the last two months. Whether I’m an early bird or a night owl? All starting because I had damn insomnia that getting worst during this quarantine. I questioned myself, was it a bad or a regular thing? An early bird or a night owl?

As we knew, Early bird is a morning people who tend to be get up early and feel proactive in the mornings. They wide awake at an early hour, you can call them an early riser too while Night owls tend to wake up late and stay awake long after darkness falls and are happy to keep working late into the night.

How did I become a Night Owl?

Getting adjust at different times on the other side of the world, I tried to indulge myself with Indonesia time because my startup is for Indonesian people and work with the time in west Indonesia. For example, if I’m in Europe, though it’s 6 hours behind Jakarta, I would always wake up at 9 AM Jakarta time, which means it’s around 3 AM in Paris . It does sound crazy; while everybody is sleeping there, I wake up and starting to work. And yes, it’s been built inside of me for more than two years.

At the time I was traveling, that seems nothing terrible. The concern is starting to show up in this quarantine time. I admit that I’m having a difficult time, yet it’s getting worse with this insomnia. I’m fully awake at night and starts sleeping around 6 AM. My body will wake up around 9 or 10 AM. I even sneak to eat around 3 AM while everybody is sleeping.

Everything was fine at the beginning, but after two months at home and had this habit. I’m starting to ask either it’s a good thing or not. And why is wrong with me? The answer is nothing is wrong with that because every person is just different and unique. Trust me; it wasn’t an easy task to convince myself about it. I doubt myself more than you could imagine. The anxiety inside me kept telling me that I’m weird and sort of a bunch of useless things.

Which one is good between an early bird or a night owl?

Let me describe more about Early bird and Night owl stuff. Research has shown that early bird as an early riser, has significant time to keep the work balanced with the other “normal people,” as most of the world runs on a 9-5 schedule or even earlier, but they also have this pressure about going to sleep early and having to make everything at the same pace. While night owls tend to be slower that’s why they are often misunderstood, they wake up later that the early bird makes those early birds often shake their heads at night owl. Night owls who seem to miss all the vital action of the day from breaking news, banking hours, even our school schedules are tailored to meet early bird needs. However, they can remain focused on tasks at hand longer, and the pace is not dead, but in the right amount of speed, not forget to mention that night owl can continue to stay alert long.

In fact that anyone who’s tried to buck their own sleep schedule in favor of a night time or morning schedule can convey how difficult it is. I believed that each of them has its own unique way of adjusting to their works. That’s why some people just need to embrace their inner night owl and the non-traditional sleep schedules that go with it.

Either of you one of them doesn’t matter as long as you can maintain your body health. Getting enough sleep, having enough meals, and exercise. It’s all going back to your life perspective. Remember, you only live once.
