The Journey of Bwamtrip
Back in 2014, I had a small talk with someone while on our way home from work. It started for all the free-traveling I ever wanted. We had a long conversation, and at the end of our conversation, I grabbed my note and started to write everything I should write. Like people say, a dream does come true from your own writing. To put it shortly, it wasn’t so long after that, and I started the idea of this Bwamtrip stuff. Here the brief story of the journey of Bwamtrip.
The Idea
It is an idea of a trip organizer where you can design your own itinerary. The package we offer is a free-day mode package. We help to arrange accommodation such as flights and hostels. The guest has to design their course for their tour. However, We would encourage them to work together to create it. Set off from Jakarta, the guest gets on the plane, stays in the guesthouse provided, and they would stroll around destination freely. There would be a trip leader who is in charge of taking care of the guest around the hostels and directing what transport to consider, all including advising them about their itinerary. During their stay in that city, they have free access to visit any places based on either their itinerary or shared plan.
The Process
We started from a very close destination from Indonesia, such as Singapore , Malaysia, Thailand, until there was a way to make it to a place I thought it was impossible to go (or at least for me). To open the new destination country that requires a visa, I need to apply for my visa first. The choice landed in South Korea. It has been known as one of the hardest to get (that was what they told me). I prepared the documents, submitted, and waited in a very anxious feeling ever. Too much advice, rumors made me worst, how if I got denied? And others, “how if?” Yet, the first step is always the big one. Once you passed it, you nailed it.
I got the visa and finally started the first voyage to the next destination of our Bwamtrip. I finally began Bwamtrip’s first-ever trip to South Korea, the dreamland of all Kpop lovers and Korean drama lovers.
The Journey of Bwamtrip
Ups and downs and all sorts of things did happen. Mistakes, missing planning, and sh*t unquestionably happened. Thank God, I got a lovely team walking together with me. In 2018, we upgraded the destination to Europe, Australia, and America. 2019 is the turning point where we got the chance to have our first offline office and make it legally—a step we never pass in my mind. It was beyond our imagination.
To get to the beautiful rainbow, you have to elapse the big storm first. Here we are, this year 2020, Bwamtrip is five years old. Through those storms, we made it to the age we never thought we could. Yet, the lesson keeps coming to us. We forced to close our offline office temporarily due to the instructions from the Government following the situation of Coronavirus pandemic. Our team got isolated, and the office closes until further notice.
We are still here
This Coronavirus pandemic surely a big hit for the tourism industry, including us. The health and safety of our guests is always our top priority at Bwamtrip. During these uncertain times, we once again challenged to prepare ourselves to become better.
Everyone is finally able to work in a limited time and place. Despite all that happened in the last two months, we are still here. We finally launched our very own website last month. Visit us on the new site. A solace amid these circumstances.
A thank you
Though Bwamtrip got its site now, we decided to start fresh and leave what we had posted about Bwamtrip on this site. You are still able to read some stories of our fantastic travelers here. Or set off to our new Bwamtrip site to read the latest stories and more tips of destination. But be aware that the new site is in Bahasa Indonesia.
We want to give you our gratitude to stay with us until this moment. Bwamtrip is always a part of Bwamgosh and vice versa. This time, please keep staying at home while preparing for your next gateway with us. Stay healthy and happy traveling from home.
